About

North Down Community Network (NDCN) is based in our own Resource Centre in Castle Park Road, Bangor, County Down. NDCN is currently funded by the Department of Social Development’s Community Investment Fund, North Down Borough Council, the NI Housing Executive, and the Public Health Agency’s Investing for Health.

Funding to establish the Network in 1999 was secured from Peace I, through the then North Down Partnership. The setting up of a Network Management Committee, location and securing premises (the Resource Centre opened in 2001) was crucial to fulfil the recognised gap in the community/voluntary sector of North Down.

The Network became a Limited Company and a registered Charity in 2003.
