Celebrate the Local Heroes of Volunteering 7th June

Volunteers’ Week – the Annual Celebration of Volunteering – takes place from 1st to 7th June.

We, at North Down Community Network, wish to recognise and celebrate the contribution made by all volunteers who work in the voluntary and community sectors of North Down.  It would be wonderful if you would come and join us at a programme of events which will take place on Thursday, 7th June 2012 at our Resource Centre, 5 Castle Park Road, Bangor, culminating in a Barbeque.

 The programme is as follows:

6.00pm          Extraordinary General Meeting (for Network Members)

6.30pm          Welcome and Introduction including ‘Local Hero’ Nominations

7.00pm          Presentation of Level I Community Capacity Building Certificates by Sally Davies (Supporting Communities NI)

7.30pm          Barbeque

We have attached a Nomination Form for ‘Local Heroes’ so if you know a volunteer who has made a difference, please complete and return this, AND, to make sure we have enough food to go round (we ran out the last time!), please confirm your numbers attending by email or by telephoning 9146 1386.

We look forward to seeing you.
